Self Defence December Auckland Workshop - Using Street Clothes for Self Defence

Using Street Clothes for Self Defence
05.12.2020 12:00 pm - 3:30 pm

The key to self defence is being able to use your techniques in any situation regardless of what you and your opponent is wearing. In fact with the right training you can use what your opponent is wearing against them! This workshop is taught by Clinton Terry, aka 'The Blind Grappler', the winner of numerous wrestling and BJJ titles both in NZ and overseas. He will teach you controls, restraints, takedowns and submissions that you can use against people in common street clothes. Never feel unsafe again when you are accosted by a suspicious looking person in a hoodie!

IMPORTANT: You will need to bring a jacket, hoodie or long sleeved coat that you won't mind getting damaged/destroyed - it will be used throughout the workshop to practice techniques.

Workshop Fee: $45 members, $55 non-members. The fee is non-refundable.
